Class Descriptions

Here are some of the parent and baby classes we offer at Cupcake. Our classes cater for children from four weeks to three years. To see what’s in store, download a timetable.

Abs Attack
After pregnancy and childbirth, your abs need some TLC. This session, led by our skilled ante/postnatal physiotherapists, will show you how to exercise in a way that will tighten and tone your abs as you get back into movement.

Babies and Briefcases
Going back to work? Join a discussion about your options for part-time work, or changing career direction. Come for a workshop on what you can do to best prepare for this transition.

Back in the Swing of Things
All that lifting of your baby can lead to backache. Find out how to make your back stronger, and learn the best exercises to relieve the pain. Back in the Swing of Things is led by our skilled ante/postnatal physiotherapists.

Book Club
Make the most of your reading experiences by sharing them with others. Enjoy a host of titles and let a friendly discussion bring the books to life. Babies are very welcome.

Britain’s Next Top Mum
Capture your inner Elle McPherson with a photo session from photographer Julia Boggio. Whether you want a record of your mummy tummy, a mum/baby photo or a portrait of the whole family, Julia is sure to capture the perfect snap.

Business Coaching
Adam Clark, London’s top networking coach, will lead this workshop on increasing your confidence, self-belief and boosting your sales. Learn how to promote your business more effectively, build relationship through networking and use tips and tools to increase sales.

Cardio Fit
Get fit fast with this challenging cardio workout

Champagne Yoga
Relax with gentle yoga postures and breathing techniques in a lovely candlelit environment. Indulge in a glass of champagne or sparkling apple juice afterwards to relax and to give you the opportunity to chat with other Cupcake members.

Coffee and Coaching
At this stage in life, you may feel like you need someone in your corner. Whether you have a problem, issue, challenge, difficult – or a goal that you want to reach - our coach is that person. While you share a cup of coffee in a relaxed one-to-one setting, you can gain some understanding, perspective and focus. You’ll leave the meeting with an arsenal of ideas, personal goals or simply the feeling that you’re not in this alone.

Dance Mummy Dance
Dance your cares away in this fun class incorporating moves from ballet to jazz.

Dynamic Flow Yoga
Strengthen and tone with our Yoga class. The class includes exercises to stretch and flex the body. Suitable for all levels.

Fighting Fit
Time for some serious cardio! In this non-contact boxing class, you will get an intense full body workout to help you burn fat, de-stress and get an injection of self confidence!

Free Your Mind
Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) has proven very useful for improving wellbeing and supporting weight loss. EFT is a simple and painless form of acupressure, which involves tapping with your fingertips on key points of the face, upper body and hands. You are literally tapping into your energy meridians. EFT is often described as acupuncture for the emotions (but without the needles). The creative use of positive statements enables you to focus on removing the emotional blocks that are driving you to comfort- or stress-eat.

General Yoga
Strengthen and relax with our General Yoga class. The class includes exercises to stretch and flex the body. Suitable for beginners.

Guilt-Free Me Time
We all know that if you feel run down you cannot give your child 110%, so why do you feel guilty when you have a little time to yourself? Come for a fantastic session on enjoying guilt-free me time as a mum.

Holistic Mummy Fusion
This beautiful class combines a fusion of yoga, pilates and tai chi moves, all set to music.

Intro to Interior Design
Make your home an even more comfortable, child-friendly environment without compromising on style, design or practicality. Mary Boston, Cupcake’s interior designer, will give you tips from the pros.

Lose Your Mummy Tummy
This half-hour class will focus on simple ‘target’ exercises to help regain all-round physical strength, especially in your abdomen.

Move your Feet on the Street
A no-pressure, no-stress running club where taking it at your own level is positively encouraged. Whether you prefer a gentle shuffle or an invigorating run we can accommodate you.

Mummy Boot Camp
Mummy Boot Camp is the perfect all-round workout. Each class includes fat-burning workouts, core conditioning, full body toning, boxing, stretching and more!

Mummy-lates
Pilates for mums. A holistic exercise programme to rebalance and fine tune your body, Mummy-lates helps improve your strength, flexibility, posture and stamina.

Mummy Slumber Party
Join us for a mummy slumber party! This mums-only night will be packed with fun activities and is a great opportunity to get to know some other Cupcake mums. Enjoy a wine tasting, flirting seminar and a pole dancing taster session. You’ll also be treated to a Juicy Minicure. The evening will be co-hosted by Virgin Vie. The Mummy Slumber party costs £20 and must be booked in advance.

Mumpreneur Workshop
Thinking of starting your own business, but don’t know where to start? Join us for an interactive workshop on getting started.

Mummy Ballerinas
Tone and strengthen using classical ballet moves, tailored specifically to new mums and mums-to-be. We will focus on postural alignment and gentle strengthening.

Mummy Shimmies
A fun belly dancing class to shape up your mid section. Through this dance, pregnant women can gain proven physical and emotional benefits and belly dancing is excellent to tone up once you are a mummy too.

Nub Quiz: Mums’ Night Out
Show off your knowledge at our mum- and baby-themed quiz night. Enjoy a glass of wine and entertaining trivia for a fun mums’ night out.

Paediatric First Aid
This introduction to safety for your children is a must. Paediatric First Aid is ideally suited for mum and dad to attend together and is led by the experts at Tinies Training.

Personal Style
Be a mum with a passion for fashion. Personal stylist Anita Feron Clarke will help you discover a new, individual style and help you feel confident pre, during and post bump!

Post-Pregnancy Fitness Physio
After pregnancy and childbirth, you want to feel confident about getting back in shape. Led by our skilled ante/postnatal physiotherapists, this session will bring you through the changes that have happened in your body, what to be aware of, and how to best ease back into exercise and sport.

Physio Q&A (Book in for your 15min spot)
This is your chance for a complimentary physio consultation with MPT Lisa Calahan who will offer tips, guidelines and advice about how physiotherapy can help you. Lisa can help you with questions about your spine, joint or muscular pain and pelvic floor exercises as well as undertaking exercise before, during and after pregnancy.

Private Dancer
Take part in our pole dancing session from Pole People UK. It’s a great workout and is sure to put a smile on your face…and maybe his, too!

Relax and De-stress
This class incorporates breathing and relaxation techniques. Give yourself time to recharge. Reducing stress is key to a balanced life. Led by Calm Revive.

Shake Your Booty Class
Watching Strictly Come Dancing or So You Think You Can Dance with envy? Our dance instructor will teach you some new moves that are fun and give you a good workout too!

Shop till you Drop
No need to fight the shops with a pram! We bring new and lovely shopping options to you right in the heart of the Cupcake Cafè.

The Sneeze Squeeze
Coughing, laughing and running - any issues? More than half of all women suffer in silence about incontinence, particularly after childbirth. This seminar will explore exercises to improve your pelvic muscles and lead you back to feeling confident. Also appropriate for pregnant women who want to learn some techniques before they are needed.

Wine Tasting
Enjoy an afternoon of tasting lovely whites and reds and learning more about some new wines. Wine Tasting is led by the founder of Advintage Wines.

Writers’ Salon
They say everyone has at least one book (or blog!) inside them. Join the editor of our newsletter, Icing on the Cupcake, to form or discuss your writing goals, learn quick tips to get started with writing and try some practical exercises in a pressure-free environment.

Work/Baby Balance
Do you feel swamped with trying to juggle work and your family life? Join a workshop with Nicola Bird, Director of Work on the Business (and mother of three children under the age of five) will be leading a fun and interactive workshop that will help you develop a clear set of priorities, some excellent time management techniques and a personal action plan to help you make immediate changes that will bring balance to your life.


Classes Appropriate for Mums-to-be
Antenatal Course
Meet new people and enjoy learning about the birthing and newborn essentials during this six-week course. Please let us know as early as possible if you are interested in attending.

Babes with Bumps
This antenatal fitness class was developed specifically for mummies-to-be in their 2nd or 3rd trimester who want to exercise confidently, safely and effectively. The one-hour session includes 30 minutes of aerobics, 20 minutes of toning and 10 minutes of stretching. Maintain your current fitness level, control your weight, improve your posture and strengthen your abdomen and pelvic floor.

Babies Abroad
For those who are new to the UK health system, this seminar will help you understand the ins and outs of giving birth in the UK. The session will be lead by our midwife expert.

Holistic Mummy Fusion
This beautiful class for pre- and postnatal mummies combines a fusion of yoga, pilates and tai chi moves, all set to music.

Get all of your pregnancy and birth questions answered by our resident midwife.

Pregnancy Glam
How do you look sexy and beautiful (or just presentable) at work when dealing with morning sickness and swollen ankles? Spend a morning with our stylist who will teach you how to approach pregnancy with style.

Pregnancy Nutrition Seminar
Thinking that there isn’t enough time in the day to ensure that everything that you are eating is safe, healthy and beneficial for your baby? Confused by the media messages on what the best options are for healthy foods that can be made simply, safely and quickly? Our nutrition expert will lead an engaging discussion on healthy eating options for you and your family.

Pregnancy Pilates
A holistic exercise programme to rebalance and fine tune your body through pregnancy. This class helps improve your strength, flexibility, posture and stamina.

Pregnancy Yoga
Pregnancy yoga will help you build muscle strength and relax, with exercises to stretch and flex the body while pregnant. This class is generally suitable after the 14th week. Pregnancy yoga class should help you feel confident as you prepare for birth.

Swiss Ball Workout
Engage and strengthen the muscles in your abdomen and back while improving your balance.

Amanda’s Action Kids™
Amanda’s Action Kids™ are interactive physical development classes that kids just love. Age range is 4 months to 5 years. Each session lasts an action-packed 45 minutes and children are encouraged through exercise and movement to have fun and let off steam. Many early learning goals are achieved through the varied movements and activities and special-needs children are well catered for and actively welcomed too. This is one of our most popular baby classes!

Baby Arts and Crafts (for children 18 months+)
A baby class with some messy playtime for your little artists.

Baby Idols
See your little one's skills develop and confidence grow as they play in a small and friendly hands-on group. In Baby Idols, the emphasis is on creativity - children are encouraged to make music using lots of different instruments in their own way. They are free to move around and explore the environment, interact and make friends with other little ones… they don’t have to sit still on your lap (unless they want to!). This class is for children up to 18 months.

Baby Massage
The six-week course is set in a relaxed and calm environment, where all babies are welcome with their sounds and moods. Cupcake’s Baby Massage class is the perfect time for parents to interact and bond with their baby through loving, nurturing touch, and also a chance to meet new parents and interact with one another through class discussions. Baby MOT
Your baby's development from birth to walking: we will discuss how to assess your child’s development to avoid any concerns. Led by our skilled ante/postnatal physiotherapists.

Baby Picassos
Some messy playtime for your little artists. For children 18 months+.

Baby Signing
Learn to communicate with your baby in new and exciting ways. Baby signing, when used in conjunction with speech, has been shown not only to enable babies from as young as six months to communicate their basic needs effectively but also to increase the rate at which they develop spoken language. This class is led by Love and Cuddles Ltd.

Bambino Italiano
Join our very own Italian Mumcierge, Signorita Rosita for this baby Italian class. Your baby will learn through expressive language and drama. This class takes place in the park.

Buddha Babies
This yoga-based baby and tot class is for mummies and little ones. It’s a fun class which has the curious toddler in mind! There will be animal yoga, breathing exercises, music, dance and, of course, games. Deepen your parent-child bond while experiencing the magic of yoga. Most suitable for toddlers aged 18 months to 36 months. No yoga experience necessary for parent or toddler.

Buggy Fitness
A full body workout. Each mum/baby class begins with a warm-up, followed by intervals of power walking and body-sculpting training using your own body weight, resistance bands and park benches! All levels of fitness welcome - bring your baby and buggy!

Culture Kids
Let your child experience and develop their creative imaginations, transforming music into a fun and exciting sensory experience. Culture Kids sessions will give your child a sound musical foundation, designed to stimulate the senses and engage children with distinctive world music, pop music and traditional nursery rhymes. Using puppets, toys, dolls, photographs, books, flash cards and instruments from around the globe, the class will explore the endless creativity that music brings. Culture Kids includes some dance and movement.

Daddy Buggy Fitness
A full body workout. Each dad/baby class begins with a warm-up, followed by intervals of power walking and body-sculpting training using your own body weight, resistance bands and park benches. All levels of fitness welcome – bring your baby and buggy!

Daddy/Tot Wiggle and Giggle
Singing, bouncing, clapping, pointing, tickling, wiggling and giggling. Each child will have their own baskets of goodies to tap, cuddle or shake along to rhythmical songs. We will use a variety of puppets, props and percussion instruments. The songs will be selected for the age group of the children, with a wide range of traditional and new nursery rhymes and action songs.

Dancing with Daddy
At Dancing with Daddy, inhibitions run free as dads and kids four months to four years old dance and laugh together. During the half-hour class, the dad/baby duos get down to hits such as ‘Daddy Cool’ by Boney M, ‘He’s the Greatest Dancer’ by Sister Sledge and other 70s funk and disco tunes spun by our in-house DJ.

Dance Baby Dance
Dance Baby Dance is a mum-and-baby dance class incorporating moves and music from ballet to jazz. Join us for a truly fun workout. The early class is for non-walkers, and the later class is for walkers.

Latino Bambino
Latin Dance class full of Tropical rhythms enriched with props (maracas, claves, bells, pom poms) to stimulate creativity, co-ordination and gross motor skills. With Latino Bambino you and your child will enjoy a fun, energetic and challenging session that will leave you both with a smile on your face. We offer two different family Salsa classes:
Mum-and-Baby (up to 12 months)
For mums and babies (6 weeks old and up) where mothers wear their babies in a baby carrier or sling whilst dancing to the pulsating Salsa rhythms. Fun and energising/keep fit class for all who want to add some spice back.
Latino Toddler (from 1-4 years old)
For all the little ones that have outgrown a baby carrier and can now dance on their own two feet.

Little Chefs
You will be amazed by the culinary talents of your children as our Mimi’s Cupcakes chefs guide them in simple exercises (like frosting cupcakes!). Little Chefs is for children over 18 months.

Monkey Music
Monkey Music teachers engage the attention of both children and carers alike using catchy music, percussion instruments, colourful visual props - and boundless energy!

Mum/Baby Pilates
Mum/Baby Pilates is a workout built for two. This mum/baby class is suitable for little ones up to 18 months.

Mum/Baby Shimmies
Mum and baby can belly dance together in this fun class that will have you shimmying and smiling.

Sing Along and Play
Have a fun time singing along and playing with our instructor Naomi.

Story time and Movement
Follow the story as your little one moves along with the choreographed steps. Great fun and brilliant for improving your little ones’ coordination. Many early learning goals are achieved through the varied movements and activities.
